Several Things - Importance Negliable - to some

Its been a good week. Last Saturday was extraordinary food-wise but the Friday nite was crap, with Mr Grump questioning my love for him - again.. The next day (anniversary day - 12 years) I delivered an ultimatum - which I am loathe to do at the best of times. It was necessary I thought because I felt my loyalty to him was being questioned at a time where it did'nt need to be and should never be questioned.

Anyhoo, Selkirk's at Orange - fabbo, fanbloodytastic food.. oh my lord..one of the best meals I have had for a long time. 5*****'s.

What's on the list- hmmm..

1. Got paid for being a deli chick. - not bad - pays for accomodation at Coronation

2. Started and finished lacing holes in blue florentine - and sewed lining down in bodice. Have to re-sew some pearls on neckline. Sewed detachable sleeves - need to hole them and lace them - same on bodice.

3. Accomodation and travel companions sorted for Coronation - Kol and Harald the bastard.

4. Christmas shopping done present wise - cooking list has changed.

5. Bowlsing tomorrow - christmas party at the club - everyone is a winner tomorrow night
6. Working 4 hours at the Deli - Saturday

memories of when I was 18 ye gods.

Thanks to Wenchilada! http://wenchilada.livejournal.com/

Happenings

Nearly christmas ye gods. Where has the year gorn?? Finally owned up to the fact that I want to hit people hard with sticks and am exploring the whys and wherefores of my decision. I have concluded thus far these factors.

A: I think too much

B: A bit of biff is a good way to express pent up energy

C: Col and I would make a great girly fighting force

D: It sounds good when I talk to people about SCA stuff and in general

E: Bruises fade

F: I don't want to be boring or beige - god forbid!

So, onto the next stage of the proceedings which is to start learning to fight in earnest which will happen in the new year, and find bits of metal to protect me from mostly hurting when biffing with others. I have decided I want a metal breastplate with a back protection. To that point D1 has found some metal type making guys in the Gumboot that may be interested in doing something for me. Just have to give them the Combat rules and show them some examples which Col is going to supply being a fighty girly and armoured up.

Mr Grump is saying nothing at the moment about this decision, I think he thinks I'm blagging and won't go through with it.. HAH!!!

Still blinging up the dress - its not that far until coronation so I need to get it done soonish especially now that I have a JOB.

NEW JOB details:

Where: Bi-lo Supermarket as a Deli grrrl - you want to slice your what?? I need to fund my SCA habit somehow..so for the foreseeable future its Deli and money, Uni and the SCA - why can't they pay us to be student teachers???

Casual Bowls and dressmaking

It's another warm humid evening where Mr Grump, D1 and I went to twilight bowlsing. It was a great night, barefoot, cold drinks, sausage sanger and a champion round of bowls - Mr Grump and I won despite newbie status. What I love about this town is the genuine concept of helping out and giving advice to anyone that will listen and having a good yarn over a cold one.

The last 2 days/nights I have been down at Dapplewood with Mum, Super-K and D2 - Mum and I have been working together to construct the florentine gown.

Some aspects of the construction I was'nt confident about so I went to the wise sewing elf - mum. Luckily, I did as it needed some converting to fit etc. Now all I have to do is bling it up, do some sleeves and eyelets and oversew eyelets.

YAY! Miss Wu is coming back tomorrow for stuvac - fun to be had with everyone. It looks like myself, Super-K, Miss Wu and ma are going to Coronation/12th night in January - HUZZAH!
