My first try

a commentary on nothing really, SCA schtuff, teaching stuff, health stuff, stuff on stuff. Features Mr Grump, my family, his family, the chooks, geese and the dogs or gods, friends and how to have them (roasted) and now Max the cat.
Here are the necklace and festoons I have made for my viking outfit. Pattern (created by Mr Grump - engineer extraordinaire!) has been cut out and I think I may have found the right amount of fabric for the outfit - a woollen blanket bought for $3! It is a hideous lolly pink at the moment so I am going to dye it green or red. The apron dress will be lined in calico to prevent the woollen itchies (yes, I will itch without despite having a under-dress on).
The necklace features two festival tokens and one of the festoons features a piece of Oz's fealty chain given to us before he left with Francesca to Ynys Fawr. I will be placing the Radburne tokens on one of the festoons at a later date.
Blogger is being a bastard so I will post the photos at a later date.
Grrrr. BTW YAY for RAIN!
Here is our new purring edition...We relented and he has stolen our hearts.
How did it know that I need to be more tolerant and a lot more prosperous?

I have been wondering where these funny pics have been popping up from, now I know. Thanks Katrijn. Just reminds me that I want a cat in the house again - they are so bloody entertaining.

Now, I love Christmas and have been poking the mystery present from Mr Grump (the other two I know about so no poking) but I do make this face internally when I think of the crowds, emotional upheaval it causes for children in families that don't have money or don't care about them.
So, I pray for those children who need love, want nothing more than a hug and that they find solace in someone who cares for them.
2 days to Christmas and 3 days until the mother in law comes to visit! (FOR FIVE DAYS)
